A howling gale still rages outside. However, the wind has made drying pots easier and I bscuit fired last night with no failures (ie smashed pots from just one exploding) so happy about that. I will probably do some reduction firing this time for a change. Gave a few away over Xmas. It is always interesting to see what people choose - invariably something different from what I would have chosen myself.
Let's hope for a good year and with luck I will have a wood-firing kiln by this time next year. Fingers crossed.
